GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — District 51 is taking a community approach to improving its future.
School officials invited Western Slope government and business leaders to a strategic planning breakfast Wednesday.
The goal of the meeting is to get input from attendees on their opinions of District 51.
Superintendent Diana Sirko led the discussion by having participants use their smartphones to answer questions including. “what are the district’s strengths and weaknesses– and what can the district improve on?”
From each meeting, data is gathered to help the district prioritize what issues will be addressed through the strategic plan.
