GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - In honor of "Workforce Development Week", the D51 Career Center decided to show how they are contributing to the job force. Today they hosted three different tours to showcase their facilities.
The Career Center offers eleven different programs for high school students that are aimed at enhancing their skills in a certain field and preparing them for the workforce.
Students can take courses in construction, the culinary arts, horticulture, and more. Some students, like Tylor Fallon, have even received the distinction of "Master Service Technician" before graduating high school.
Through their tours, the career center is hoping to raise awareness of their programs, and encourage high school students and parents to look into their courses.
