D51 School Board Adopts New Boundaries

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — On Feb. 16, 2021, the District 51 School Board adopted new boundaries for several D51 schools. The changes will take effect this fall in the following areas:

1) The area bordered by U.S. Highway 6&50, 25 Road, and G Road will switch from Appleton Elementary, Fruita Middle School, Fruita 8/9, and Fruita Monument High School attendance boundaries to Pomona Elementary, West Middle School, and Grand Junction High School attendance boundaries. 

2) The area between 26 and 27 roads and between Interstate 70 and G Road will move from Pomona Elementary attendance boundaries to Tope Elementary attendance boundaries.

3) The Panorama neighborhood will switch from Wingate Elementary attendance boundaries to Broadway Elementary boundaries.

4) Students living in the Scenic and Broadway attendance areas (including the Panorama neighborhood mentioned above) will shift from Fruita Monument High School attendance boundaries to Grand Junction High School attendance boundaries.
