DE BEQUE, Colo. - After a long summer of construction, the Mesa County Libraries De Beque Branch is finally open.
People visiting the library will find many new amenities, such as a small study room, a room for events, indoor and outdoor seating, as well as unlimited WiFi access.
the De Beque branch was closed in mid-May to allow demolition of the previous location.
It's now part of the newly built De Beque school, and those with the Mesa County Libraries said this is what makes the location so unique.
"Both organizations, the public library and the De Beque school, can both utilize their resources by sharing technology and the space and all of the materials. We can do a lot more partnering than we can each do individually," said Shana Wade, Associate Director for the Mesa County Libraries.
The new library is the same size as its previous location, at about 2,500 square feet. The collection at this location contains just over 8,000 items.
The De Beque branch hours are remaining the same and can be found on the Mesa County Libraries website.
