Donation to the Grand Junction Fire Department

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Cherry Creek Mortgage company’s donated 1,000 to the Grand Junction Fire Department this week.

The motivation for this donation was to help firefighters who have been fighting the fires around Colorado.

The mortgage company wanted to give back to it’s community and it’s donation will be going to a new training center for all fire departments in Mesa County.

Chief Ken Watkins for the Grand Junction Fire Department said the money will be going to “A training center that’s for all of the fire departments in Mesa County. This money will go to pay for a training crop that will help firefighters understand and train safely how to get on-top of a roof and ventilate a structure that is on fire.”
