Grand Junction, Colo. - There was a ribbon cutting today for the Dual Immersion Academy in Grand Junction.
After DIA's 15 year wait the Dual Immersion Academy has a gym.
It wasn't just a gym DIA was opening, they were cutting the ribbon for a new cafeteria and music room for this bi-lingual academy.
There were songs, a student orchestra and a class representative who gave a bi-lingual address.
When that ribbon was cut and all the students were finally in their gym, physical education teacher Jim Haas had one feeling in his heart.
"I'm ecstatic, I have been ever since i've seen the finished product this week... its just awesome,' Haas said.
Other school projects funded by the same bond on the horizon are a gym for Palisade High School and a new middle school for Orchard Mesa.
