Group Given Green Light To Petition A Polis Recall

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. –

An organization known as Dismiss Polis, was given the green light to hold a petition to recall Governor Jared Polis. Monday Colorado’s Secretary Of State, Jena Griswold, signed the petition measure . The group now has 60 days to collect more than 633,000 verified signatures. Their goal is to get 900,000.

Dismiss Polis, in a press release, cited four laws- recently supported and signed into law- as to why Governor Polis should be recalled:

*SB 19-042, Joining Colorado into an interstate compact to elect the president by national popular vote

*SB 19-181, Reforming the regulation of the oil and gas industry

*SB 19-1032, Mandating comprehensive human sexuality education

*HB 19-1177, Creating the ability for a family or household member to petition the court for a temporary extreme risk protection order to prohibit an individual from possessing a firearm

Petitioners will be at the old Albertsons parking lot in Grand Junction near 12th and Orchard Ave. on Thursday from 2-7 pm.

Please note that the video does read a different petitioners location– it has since been revised.
