Environmental Group Funds Billboards Critical of BLM

Local News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A major environmental group funds billboards critical of Bureau of Land Management Leadership.

The billboard ad was commissioned by the Clean Water Fund a Washington D.C. based environmental protection group.

One billboard is located just beyond the intersection of North Ave. and Highway 50. It will run through Friday, January 24.

In a statement, The Clean Water Fund says the billboard ads are “spoof realty ads” criticizing BLM acting director William Perry Pendley and Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt.

The Clean Water Fund also says in their statement they’re being critical of Pendley and Berhardt due to concern of the selling of public lands.

We respect the right of Freedom of Speech for all Americans but if a person or group is concerned about our nation’s public lands, there are many more productive ways to be involved besides spreading falsehoods.
