GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Motorists travelling from Clifton to Palisade along US Highway 6 should expect delays as the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has begun resurfacing the road. The improvements will be made to US 6, between the intersection with 33 Road to the eastbound on-ramp of I-70 to the east of Palisade.

Additional work will in the area will include guardrail replacement, ADA ramp construction, sign replacement, and striping. The project intends to improve the drivability for motorists along one of Mesa County’s busiest stretches of road, and is anticipated to last until the end of June.

The resurfacing work will also take place along Colorado Highway 141 beginning at the intersection of US Highway 50, located north of Whitewater. CO 141, also known as 32 Road, will be resurfaced from MP 156-159.
