The Mesa County Elections office gave residents the chance to try out their new technology before elections in November.
Colorado was one of the first states to get the new equipment.
They are tablets that anyone could use at home that are quicker and easier.
A new and improved is the ADA accessibility. For those who have a visual of hearing impairment can plug in their current tablet to the machine and use it as they would at home.
The goal of this new equipment is to make the voting process easier for everyone.
“The actual interface and loading of the ballot and all that. It’s alot easier, and of course the process of being familiar with a tablet is nice, and I think it’s a major improvement as well,” said Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Sheila Reiner.
The election office will be open from 9 a.m- 4 p.m on Tuesday October 13 for more ballot mocks.
