GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.
19-year-old, Kayla Carmichael, was killed Saturday when the 1988 Honda Wagon she was a passenger in was hit in a t-bone collision.
Authorities say 31-year-old, Jamal Abu-Halimeh was driving the 2014 Hyundai SUV North bound on 23 Road when he struck the Honda Wagon.
Colorado State Patrol says driver of the Honda Wagon, 37-year-old, Joshua Brand was at the stop sign on H Road, and then proceeded East bound when the car was struck by the SUV.
Carmichael was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center by ambulance where she then passed away due to her injuries.
Abu-Halimeh was also transported to Saint Mary’s due to minor injuries.
