Flood warnings bring safety concerns, trail closures

Numerous rivers in Western Colorado and Utah are under flood watches and warnings.

Parts of the riverfront trail along the Colorado River in Grand Junction had to be closed. High water levels from melting snow pack is to blame. Over the weekend, 14 people were pulled out of rivers by rescuers on the Western Slope. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office took time to go over river safety with KREX.
