Former Broncos Quarterback, Peyton Manning, Gives Hospitalized Woman Well Wishes

Local News

A couple, who claims to be die-hard Denver Broncos fans, received an unexpected gift from the Sheriff himself.  Carlos Romero and his wife Savannah, who are from Grand Junction, moved to North Dakota four years ago, and on March 6 of this year, Savannah was severely injured in a motorcycle accident.

After receiving care at a hospital in Bismarck, ND, Savannah was flown to Swedish Medical Center in Denver for more advanced care.  It was here when she was provided a personalized recovery message from two-time Super Bowl Champion and former Denver Broncos quarterback, Peyton Manning.

“I just want you to know you’ve been in my thoughts and prayers…” Manning can be heard saying to Savannah on the phone.  “I know you’re going through a tough fight right now, but you’ve got a lot of people pulling for you and praying for you.  You’ve been a big supporter and fan of mine, and I just wanted you to know I’m a big fan and I’m pulling for you.”

Carlos Romero, Savannah’s husband, had a lot to comment on.  But he wanted to make sure everyone heard him say, “I would like to thank everyone about is their thoughts and prayers.”

Romero says his wife is in a semi-conscious state.  He believes she was able to partially make out the message at the time but that when she fully wakes up, will listen to the message, and be even more ecstatic.
