GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Christopher Lambros, a former St. Mary’s ICU nurse arrested on three counts of sexual assault in October 2022, won’t go to trial.
Lambros took a plea deal at his latest court hearing, pleading guilty to drugging then sexually assaulting patients in intensive care. District Attorney Dan Rubinstein tells WesternSlopeNow the DA’s office identified 13 of his victims. The office identified 5 by name, though only 2 are still living.
Rubinstein says he’s glad to get the case moved through the system since Lambros was arrested in October of last year.
“We’re all feeling very happy that we were able to get this case resolved before the holidays, resolved before next year. This case has been in the court system for 14 months now, and the victims are ready to put this behind them,” Rubinstein told WesternSlopeNow.
A plea and sentencing hearing for Lambros is set for December.
