GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.

It is the fourth of July after all, so let’s take a look at some fireworks shows and events happening this weekend.

Kicking off this weekend’s fireworks shows is Fruita–with that a display that will take place at Snooks Bottom Open Space–and Rifle, which takes place at the Metro and Centennial Park. Both of which will start at dusk. Monday’s shows will be at Suplizio Field here in Grand Junction, with the firework display starting after the Rockies game. Delta and Montrose will also have displays of their own–at Confluence Park and Sunset Mesa respectively. Both of those shows will also take place at dusk.

Other events happening this weekend in Grand Junction include the Parade on Main, which will begin Monday morning at 10. The Rockies will also be taking on the Northern Colorado Owlz at 4:05 in the afternoon. Bob Dylan was at Las Colonias Amphitheater Friday evening to kick off the weekend’s festivities, and if you missed that, it’s okay because Lyle Lovett will be at the Avalon Saturday at 7:30. Montrose is in on the action as well, with a parade of their own on main street at 10 o’clock Monday morning. The Montrose Rotary Amphitheater will also be hosting the Falconaires Air Force Academy Band at 5:00, and Girl Named Tom at 7:30 in the evening.
