GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Debra Hesse from St. Mary's Medical Center has free radon testing kits she wants to give away so that people can test their homes for radon. Radon is a naturally occurring, colorless, and odorless radioactive gas. It is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. Hesse said a home should be tested every two to three years for radon.
To get a free radon testing kit, call Hesse at (970)298-2351 or visit www.stmarygj.org/prevention.
