GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) – Frontier’s weekly service for three times a week between the two cities in early June. Adding two extra flights provides 150 extra seats between Denver International Airport and the Grand Junction Regional Airport for the next couple of weeks.
Right now, a drive from Grand Junction to Denver takes almost seven hours one way. Fixing I-70 roads at Glenwood Canyon will take a while, but Frontier wants quick travel to remain an option.
“They’ll be flying Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and then Saturday,” Grand Junction Regional Airport Executive Director Angela Padalecki informs, “What they’ve committed to is that they will continue to provide strong access.”
In its latest promotion, Frontier is offering round-trip fares starting at 70 dollars for flights between Denver International and Grand Junction Regional ($26 for one-way).
Saturday flights between Denver and Grand Junction are set August 14 and August 21 with an opportunity for more in the future based on demand.
