Fruita Monument Basketball Teams Honor Cancer Fighters and Survivors

FRUITA, Colo.- The Fruita Monument High School girls and boys basketball teams partner with Family Health West to raise cancer awareness.

Before both teams’ home games on Saturday, each player was introduced and brought a friend or family member onto the court who has survived or is battling a form of cancer.

Both teams wore pink to show their support on this special day.

The Cancer Awareness Game Day is an annual event which began four years ago.
