GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX/KFQX)- The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has invested over $760,000 in advertising and campaigning for republican Lauren Boebert, according to a committee spokesperson.
That’s not the only Washington D.C.-based group investing into this race. A major democrat campaign group, the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee, is fiercely backing Boebert’s democrat opponent Diane Mitsch Bush, and has invested over $630,000 in advertising and campaigning in this highly contested open-seat congressional race.
The campaigns for Boebert and Mitsch Bush are hitting the fundraising efforts hard too. According to the Federal Election Commission, Boebert’s campaign has raised a total of over $2.3 million as of Oct. 14, and Diane Mitsch Bush’s campaign has raised a total of $4.2 million as of that same date.
In the interview above, NRCC spokesperson Bob Salera offers his thoughts on the race between Mitsch Bush and Boebert. Salera weighs in on democrat attacks against Boebert, where the GOP stands on healthcare and how that factors into congressional races, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.
