CLIFTON, Colo. - One of the best ways to spread holiday cheer is by giving back to the community, and 95 students at Clifton Elementary are about to have their Christmas' made.
For the second year in a row, students from Fruita Monument High School's National Honors Society and Grand Junction High School Student Senate bought, wrapped, and gifted presents to 95 students in need at Clifton Elementary.
The gifts ranged anywhere from candy, to LEGO sets, and even to scooters, all things on the children's wish lists for Christmas. According to Clifton Elementary's school counselor, these may be some of the only gifts these students receive on Christmas morning, and the impact of these high schooler's good deeds will be felt for years to come.
But for the high school students, it was all about giving back
Although the high schoolers won't be able to see their kid's reactions to the Christmas gifts, they know these presents are something the Clifton Elementary students have been hoping to open.
