Girl Scout Cookie Donation

Girl Scout Cookie Donation

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado state patrol office in Fruita got a very sweet donation today, from girl scout troop 17091.

"We had a big donation of a half dozen cases to our waist line here at the Fruita CSP Troop Office, which we really appreciate from the entire community."

A couple of the girls put up some really big numbers when it comes to the amount of boxes that were sold.

A couple of these girls sold well over a thousand boxes of cookies, which is a lot of work for the girls, for their parents, for everything that goes into these cookies going out into the bellies of the community, and we're going to have a few cases that go into the bellies of our local troopers."

And the cookie giving tour did not end there. The girls were headed to another place to give out some more girl scout cookies.

"We're going to the Fruita PD."

Along with giving 150 boxes of cookies to the Colorado State Patrol as well as 150 boxes of cookies to Fruita Police Department, the girls are going to be giving about 200 boxes of cookies to the military. Even though our chance to buy girl scout cookies this year is over, some of our local law enforcement as well as military still get to enjoy some of these sweet treats.
