Grand Junction considered a must see summer destination

Local News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo – Rangers at the National Monument say each month is a new record for visitors, and the city of Grand Junction is benefitting from the increased tourism.

The tourism economy makes up about a third of the local economy, which makes the increase in visitors especially vital coming out of a year which saw nationwide travel come to a halt. Those visiting the area, and specifically the Colorado National Monument, say friends recommend Grand Junction as the “best place you never heard of.”

The recent increase in tourists to the National Monument and to Junction show the word is getting out, thanks to the Visit Grand Junction marketing strategy, and word of mouth from those lucky enough to have experienced the western slope.
