Grand Junction: Marijuana sales, tax increases approved in unofficial results

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo – Unofficial results show voters are ready for marijuana sales in Grand Junction.

Voters approved a repeal of marijuana prohibition as well as a sales tax increase, specific to marijuana products, to 8.25%. City officials will be able to increase the tax rate to 15% percent without voter approval.

Along with weighing in on city council races, voters also approved development along the Colorado River.

Current election results are unofficial.
