GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Grand Junction Parks & Recreation recently received a $56,250 grant from Great Outdoors Colorado.

The grant will be used for the Parks, Recreation, Open Space (or PROS) Master Plan.

This plan includes sending out community surveys to residents about Grand Junction’s parks and what improvements they would like to see.

Also, the City Council is looking to organize a PROS Task Force made up of community members interested in being involved with the implementation of the PROS Master Plan.

According to the Grand Junction Parks & Recreation director, the PROS Master Plan will gradually be worked on over the next six months using funds from the Great Outdoors Colorado Grant.
