Grand Junction Ramping Up New Water Tech

Grand Junction, Colo.- The city of Grand Junction is looking is expediting the installation of real-time water meters. This comes in part, do to a $300,000 grant from the Bureau of Reclamation. These new meters will be part of a data collection system that will automatically collect and store hourly water consumption. This project is expected to result in 741 acre-feet of annual water savings, which is currently lost due to leaks and overuse.
