The Museum of The West in downtown Grand Junction will be hosting the first annual speakeasy event tomorrow.
The goal is to bring a younger adult audiance to the museum that may not normally visit.
The event will have food and the typical beverages one might expect at a speakeasy.
They will also have what they’re calling a “cigar bar”, where cigars will be hand rolled.
The proceeds from the event will go back into the education department of the museum.
Jennie Aubert says, “it’s going to be a 1930’s kind of costume themed event. We’re going to have jazz music, we’re going to have appatizers. We’re going to have a few surprises that I’m not going to give away, but it should be really fun, we’re looking forward to it.”
Tickets for the 21-and-up event are already sold out.
If you missed the event this year, there’s already talk of the event continuing next year.
