GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. –
Tuesday the Grand Junction Lions Club gave Grand Mesa Little League a check worth $15,000. The money helped the little league build a new backstop this past off-season. The pledge also helped GMLL move some funds around to help players get batting helmets. (A COVID precaution means all players must have their own helmet)
The Grand Junction Lions Club says the success of its 91st Annual Carnival and Parade from February was a large part of the reason they could write the check. In fact the Lions Club, through its Community Betterment Commitment granted more than $118,000 to 15 organizations this year.
