Thursday judges from across Colorado started the process of picking the Grand Valley Beer Fest’s best beers. Nearly 130 beers were submitted to be this year’s “best in show”. Judges are looking at everything from color to taste.
The proceeds from the Grand Valley Beer Festival go to CMU’s athletic scholarship fund. The co-director of Mesa’s athletic department says with graduation around the corner, timing is great.
Tickets are $30 dollars in advance $35 at the door. The event goes from 5pm to 9pm at CMU’s ballroom. We’re hearing more than 300 different beers at the festival.
