Grocery Pickup Service

Local News

Shoppers no longer have to walk up and down store aisles, thanks to a convenient new service now offered in Grand Junction.

Walmart officially launched a program called the Grocery Pickup Service, which gives customers the opportunity to order groceries online, and select a pickup time slot.

Once an order is placed, personal shoppers will gather all the items on your list, and then deliver them to your vehicle at no additional cost for using the service.

Although some people may be hesitant to use the program out of concern that the personal shoppers may not select the best items, Walmart officials say there’s no need to worry.

“We have trained all of our personal shoppers, so that they know what a good tomato looks like, what a good plantain looks like, which some of us may not even know, and they take care to only offer you the best, even if it means going to the back room to find it” said Gina Kretoski of Walmart.

The Grocery Pickup Service is now available at the Walmart Supercenter on Rimrock Avenue, and the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Warrior Way.
