A major rockfall occurred Friday afternoon on Colorado Highway 145.
Dirt, rock and two huge boulders have destroyed the highway, leaving a trench approximately eight feet deep across both lanes.
The rock fall occurred just north of Dolores, on Highway 145.
CDOT has crews on the scene, and says the building-sized boulder needs to be blasted into smaller pieces before any road repairs can be completed.
Colorado Department of Transportation says, Travelers should avoid the area at all costs.
