Hill People Gear donates PPE to Grand Junction Fire Department

Local News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Hill People Gear of Grand Junction made a donation to have personal protective equipment delivered to the Grand Junction Fire Department today.

“What’s important about these kits is they are everything in one– masks, sanitizer, and gloves… so when they go out on their cases, everything is there for them.” – Ken Watkins. GJFD Chief

Due to a lack of funding and access needed to maintain proper first aid equipment, first responders are showing up to situations inadequately protected from COVID-19.

With this donation through an organization called Give Kits, our local firefighters are more prepared when responding to our community.

“This is a joint donation effort that ‘Hill People Gear’ and ‘My Medic’ are both doing through the organization ‘Give Kits’ to support the GJFD.” – Evan Hill, Hill People Gear

There’s nothing like local supporting local.
