LOMA, Colo. (KREX) – Shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, units from Lower Valley Fire District and Mesa County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene at the 2000 block of 16 Road in Loma for a fully-involved house fire. According to Lower Valley Fire, the fire started from the electrical panel attached outside the single family residence.

Attacks were made on all sides from firefighters to extinguish the flames.

“The main fire is knocked down but it’s gonna be lengthy overhaul,” Lower Valley Fire Chief Frank Cavaliere shares, “Also, we have a water supply issue up here with no hydrants so we have dropped tanks being set up so that we could do a water shuttle.”

First responders confirm that ten people are displaced from the incident with no injuries. The fire has been taken out.
