GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — As many are spending time with family for the holidays– Homeward Bound is improving living situations for the homeless.
One of its housing facilities, Pathways Village, is growing with a new building underway.
We decided to take a look at how construction is coming along on the extension of Pathways Village.
The Families Building at Pathway Village broke ground in May of this year. Since its groundbreaking– it’s come a long way.
Pathway village is a living facility for people who were previously homeless. It’s designed to help people get back on their feet.
The building underway is exclusive to women and families.
The three-story building will house 80 beds, doubling what is currently offered at the Pathway Village.
These extra living spaces will help Homeward Bound’ better serve the valley’s homeless population.
Construction on the new building is smooth sailing– and will be finished in June of 2020.
