Wednesday officials broke ground on a project that looks to connect many local bike trails. It’s being touted as, an almost seamless outdoor linear park that will connect Las Colinias, the Lunch Loops and Three Sisters open space, downtown Grand Junction, Audubon Trail and Connected Lakes to one another. A mile and a half of new trails for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.
Since 2002 There has been a big push to bring to bring more bike friendly, pet friendly facilities for the community. The $2.5 million project will start construction next week and is expected to finish sometime in October.
