Local Group Holds Martin Luther King Jr. Celebratory Service

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Black Citizens & Friends holds a special service celebrating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Grand Junction.

The event precedes a larger celebration beginning at City Hall in Grand Junction at 3:00 p.m. on Martin Luther King Day on Monday.

The president of Black Citizens & Friends says this event is all about the community coming together to enjoy music and speakers promoting the message of unity and tolerance championed by Dr. King.

Black Citizens & Friends is a local group which promotes diversity and community service in the Grand Valley.
