Local love community market in Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo — Smiles, laughter, and good food.

The local love community market at Monumental Beer Works is an opportunity for residents to fall in love with the new products in the valley.

The market is held once a month on the first Sunday of each month.

Vendors have the chance to showcase their work to the community.

One vendor says every market is unique and special.

Charles Garner with Underdog Cheese, says, “it’s a great opportunity to be flexible. We get to meet a whole bunch of different people, going to do different events. That’s probably the best part is all the different people you get to go meet that wouldn’t necessarily come find you in a brick-and-mortar location. You can go to them.”

The market is full of local businesses and all profits stay in the valley to help other businesses grow.

Brian Fischer, with Monumental Beer Works, says, “the comradery, it’s just were all here and were all local
business owners supporting each other that’s by far the most important and rewarding about it.”

Dollars generated from the market also go to support other vendors.

Garner added, “we return all this money to our vendors in Palisade, directly to the other places where we get stuff, so all this money just keeps recirculating here.”

Fischer added, “it’s just a lot of smiles when we all come together once a month to see each other, revisit with
each other. It’s just a values-based thing, so it’s almost like were building another little family here.”

From the sweet taste of a pastry to a new painting, feel the love at the market.
