Local Nonprofit Helps Grand Valley Residents Get Health Insurance

Local News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- According to a report by Connect for Health Colorado, those in Mesa County paid on average about $50 more in health insurance during 2019 Open Enrollment than surrounding counties.

Open Enrollment for 2020 coverage ends on January 15.

Hilltop Community Resources provides health coverage guides to help Grand Valley residents get health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado.

Connect for Health Colorado is the state’s official health insurance marketplace.

To get covered this way, you can’t be eligible for insurance through an employer or a family member’s employer, and not qualify for medicaid.

A health insurance guide at Hilltop says this option is great for those who may be self employed or work for small companies which don’t offer health insurance.
