Local-rado: Handmade from the Heart

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Christmas cheer got more colorful at Angelo’s. Located on Patterson Road, Code Red took the service curbside but the studio stays open to everyone through the Variance Program

The portable kits keep pottery in the holidays, bringing the fun right home.

“What we’ve tried to do is to tailor the business to people’s needs,” Lorena Thompson explains, “since they’re unable to really come in here and do what they usually do in terms of just spending real nice time, family-wise together with us.

“Shopping local isn’t just about ‘kiln’ the holiday game,” Cora Dickey says, “you can also save yourself the ‘torch’ure of holiday shopping.”

Candle Kitchen has a lit spread for your pleasure, filled with candles, lotions, and waxing melts.

Like the holidays, your candle gets to be custom-made, blending different scents into a gift that’s fire.

“The best thing about our candles is they are pure soy candles so they burn a lot longer. You can get a 60-hour burn time with just an 8-ounce candle. We have over 120 scents; you can take those scents just right off the shelf right now or, the fun thing to create your own, is you can blend the scents to make the memories that you want to make in your candle.”

Making the candle takes fifteen minutes. Indoor seating is limited so reservations are encouraged.
