Local News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The Grand Junction Fire Department responded quickly to a kitchen fire at the Nepal restaurant at the 300 block of Main St.

Businesses were evacuated and the fire was quickly put out before it had a chance to spread.

News 5 talked with a maintenance employee at the restaurant who claimed the fire may have started from cooking an entree with poor ventilation for the heat and smoke to escape.

A full investigation will be conducted to find the cause of the fire and a solution to prevent further fires.
