A Colorado truck driver accused of taking children across state lines to engage in sex crimes entered his plea in Grand Junction on Friday.
47-year-old Michael McFadden appeared at the Federal Courthouse Friday afternoon for a detention hearing and arraignment.
He was originally charged with the sexual assault of children and sentenced to 324 years to life, but McFadden was ultimately set free due to a speedy trial violation.
Last week, he was indicted by a federal grand jury on five new counts, all tied to alleged crimes that happened between 2007-2013.
On Friday, McFadden entered a not guilty plea. As of now, his trial is set for July 1. He’s currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
