City of Grand Junction administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 27. There will also be no city trash pick up that day, and the schedule will be delayed one day for the rest of the week. Curbside recycling pick up will be delayed until Tuesday, and the recycling drop off center will also be closed on Memorial Day.
Monday will also be a parking meter holiday, so anyone who heads downtown for the holiday can park in metered spaces, including the Rood Avenue parking garage, for free.
Many Mesa County offices will also be closed in observance of Memorial Day. This one-day closure does not include the Coroner’s Office, Criminal Justice Services, or the emergency functions of the Sheriff’s Office. Animal Services will be open on Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
All Mesa County Libraries will be closed Saturday, May 25, through Monday, May 27 for the holiday weekend. In addition, the Central Library has officially shifted to its summer operating schedule, which means it will be closed on Sundays until after Labor Day.
