CLIFTON, Colo. (KREX)–Construction on the new Clifton branch of the Mesa County Public Library is well under way, and library staff want you to leave your mark on the new building.

Library Director Michelle Boisvenue-Fox says the first stage of construction is complete–meaning the foundation is laid, and crews are ready to start framing the building.

Coming up next Friday, the library is hosting a “beam signing” event at the construction site off D 1/2 road in Clifton. They’re inviting the community to come and sign a beam which will be proudly displayed even after construction is finished.

The event is scheduled to start at around 2:45 PM on January 20th and will last for about an hour. Snacks and beverages will be available for anyone in attendance and sharpies will be provided at the signing, so feel free to leave yours at home.
