Montrose County Reports 2nd COVID-19 death

MONTROSE, Colo. — Montrose County is reporting its second COVID-19 related death. The individual was a 72-year-old male who had additional medical conditions. Public health and providers are continuing to provide testing to individuals with doctor’s orders who meet testing criteria. With the new testing vendor, results are processing is less than 72 hours.

To date, 413 tests have been administered in Montrose County. At this time, there are 58 pending tests, 308 are negative tests, 38 positive cases, and nine inconclusive tests. There are also two COVID-19 related deaths.
Montrose County Public Health has a test site available for individuals who meet criteria to be tested. In order to be tested, please CALL your primary care provider first and describe your symptoms.
