MONTROSE, Colo. — The Montrose Police Department is hosting a community open house on November 20 for anyone who may be interested in a career in local law enforcement.

The open house will be held at the Montrose County Event Center on Saturday, November 20, from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Police Department staff and recruitment team members will be there to speak with anyone interested in joining the Montrose PD.

“The Montrose Police Department recognizes the high level of community support here locally, and would like to invite everyone out to visit with us during this event,” Montrose Police Commander Matt Smith said.

Various PD equipment will be on static display, and officers will be available to answer questions about many of the department’s community programs.

Staff will also be available to share information about the new Public Safety Complex currently under construction on South First Street. The new facility is scheduled for completion in 2022 and will house the future offices of the Montrose Police Department.
