TODAY: A rain/snow mix is back in the forecast for today. We see a 40% chance of a rain/snow mix through the morning hours and a 20% chance in the afternoon. Temperatures start out in the 30s & 40s and will be in the 50s for this afternoon. For the high country, most will get 1 to 4 inches of snow, but some spots can expect anywhere from 7 to 14 inches including Vail Pass and Steamboat Springs. A Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Watch will be in effect for the mountain regions starting Thursday and ending Friday at noon.
TONIGHT: Temperatures drop into the 20s overnight with partly cloudy skies. A Freeze Warning will be in effect for Mesa, Delta and Montrose counties and some parts of Eastern Utah, including Moab.
EXTENDED FORECAST: By Friday, the storm system will leave the state and head east. That means, we will just see calm weather by Friday with temperatures in the 50s and partly cloudy skies. By Saturday, another system will approach the state and bring a very small chance of rain for Saturday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be in the low 60s and upper 50s.
