Multiple people detained after shooting, high speed chase

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Multiple people are detained after a shooting at a local trailer park.

At about 10:30 Thursday morning, the Grand Junction Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at James Trailer Park, off 28 1/4 Rd.

According to GJPD, someone fired shots at a trailer from their car. No injuries were reported.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle matching the description from the 911 call near 28 1/4 Rd. and North Ave.

Officers pursued the vehicle and eventually ended up back in James Trailer Park where the occupants fled on foot.

Colorado Mesa University was briefly placed into a lock down during the pursuit.

Multiple people have been detained for questioning, though no arrests have been made. We will keep updating this story as more information becomes available.
