MESA COUNTY, Colo. - The woman at the middle of a Mesa County murder case appeared in court on January 11.
34-year-old Rebecca Walker and her attorneys, along with the prosecution, asked to have her formal filing of charges moved to February 8. The judge granted them additional time, and Walker will be back in court on February 8 at 8:15 a.m.
Walker is charged with four felonies, including first degree murder and abuse of a corpse, in the case of Clifton resident Kyle Free. Free was reported missing in April of 2018 and his remains were found in December.
A total of five people have been arrested in connection with this case.
Walker is being held at the Mesa County Detention Facility on a no bond hold.
