GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Avelo Airlines is based out of California’s Burbank airport. Its team chose Grand Junction as a flight destination because of its natural, outdoor beauty. Local airport officials are proud to see the local economy expanding to the West Coast.

“This is a testament to their confidence in our market and our community,” Angela Padalecki reflects, “Our community has demonstrated that, when new air service is added, they will use it and they will fly through our airport especially if it’s affordable.”

Avelo will provide non-stop service between Burbank and 11 destinations. The airline’s CEO finds the timing perfect to serve Grand Junction during the summer peak but says the airline is ready to soar year-round.

“We expect to be in Grand Junction for the long haul with service into Burbank,” Andrew Levy shares, “We’re starting out with four trips a week. I think the demand will be for a good bit more than that and, if it’s there, we will definitely add more frequency to the market.”

Avelo’s 19-dollar everyday fares begin taking flight on April 28, and are set until mid-September.

Although Avelo’s first Grand Junction flight will take off May 9, you can start checking on flights today.
