Grand Junction, Colo.- Mesa County Public Health begins a new partnership with healthcare company Mako medical.
The company is now contracted to process some tests to ease the burden on the state-run lab in Denver. With this new partnership is bringing on new changes for the testing site.
Some of the new changes include new testing times, which are Tuesday through Saturday from 8am to 3pm. Other changes include having no appointment needed to get tested for Covid-19.
“We knew there were people who had to work or take kids to school and we wanted to open this up for everybody.” Allison Sanchez, Mesa County Public Health
Another change is instead of the person getting tested swabbing their nose, a health care worker will be doing it.
