One Dead After Early Saturday Morning Shooting

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – A man has died after a shooting in Grand Junction.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, around 2:30 Saturday morning, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Grand Valley Drive.

The man found inside the home suffered a gunshot wound, did not live at the home, and was not known by the residents inside.

The Mesa County Sheriffs Office is currently investigating the incident.

The investigation also found signs that man who was shot had broken into the home.

Investigators are working with the Mesa County Coroner’s Office to identify the man.
